Each category includes extensive and comprehensive training, using online resources or personal presentation. Hands-on presentations are preferred, and are included with the presentation style of teaching, where available.
Each category consists of product knowledge, installation preferences of manufacturer,and demonstrations of common installations. Time is also spent dealing with known installation issues that have accompanied certain products.
Each category will be followed with testing, both written and practical, to determine satisfactory completion of that category. Appliance installation certification will be awarded only after the successful completion of ALL categories.

All certified appliance installers will adhere to an associational code of ethics, agreeing to perform according to the ethical guidelines as set forth by the association.
